Okay, You’re Probably Thinking…

… envious of qualities I have?  I don’t have any qualities to be envious of!!

What if I tell you, you do.

What if I tell you that not only do you have these qualities, but that they’re so second nature to you, you take them for granted.  On top of that, the same qualities you think are your ‘weaknesses’ can easily be turned around into “STRENGTHS”.

Turning Your Weaknesses into Strengths

Have you begun to notice the fact that it is easier to make a list of things you stink in, versus things you are TALENTED in?

I sat down one day to do an exercise: one of those assessment things you find in magazines.  I think it was Psychology Today magazine… don’t quite remember.

Anyway, I was to write down those two lists, you know: things I suck in versus things I am good at.  Guess which list was the shortest.  You got it!

The next part of the exercise was to find a way to discover the good things that were lying beneath the items on the “things-I-suck-in” list.  At first it was hard, but as I got the hang of it, I was able to balance the lists, the left being as long as the right.

That’s when I learned to see that every ‘weakness’ is only masks a STRENGTH.

There’s a Chinese proverb that talks about this.  It goes something like this:

Every dark cloud has a silver lining, and every silver lining has a dark cloud.

Actually, there’s another one that says:

The darker the shadow, the brighter the light.  The brighter the light, the darker the shadow.

Let’s use the wisdom of these proverbs to expose some of your so-called “weaknesses” to reveal some of your hidden talents.

Unable to Work with People…

Shyness can stand in the way of a lot of things, especially in the work place.  Not that you are unfriendly – oh, by no means!

But you prefer to work by yourself.

“Let me do my thing and leave me alone.  I’ll be just fine.  I promise,” you think to yourself when anyone offers you any kind of help.

Often you tend to take on more work than you can handle.  It makes for a nice excuse to avoid having to confront others: “Sorry, I can’t talk right now; I’m busy…”

It’s also the reason why you get fired from your job because “your unable to work with people”.  Of course: You’re social phobic. You don’t deal with people too well face-to-face.

Who says you have to?  You can work by yourself and if left alone you do quite well, thank you very much.  Did you know, not many people can do that???

More positive qualities you have:

Your mind goes a mile a minute and when you use it constructively, you can be quite creative.  Some shy people have songs going on in their heads most of the time, some are thinkers, yet others are constantly busy mentally building ideas around ideas.

You enjoy to observe people and to intuitively figure out things about them that most people don’t or just can’t ‘see’.

Yeah, we all have our little secret inner worlds, don’t we?  Which reminds me: you can keep secrets very well and confidentiality is not a problem to you.

I enjoy quietly observing people just for the fun of it.  People tell more about themselves by their body language.   I also like to deeply listen to what people have to say.   And since people in general like to talk about themselves anyway – and they can always use a listening ear.  That’s why I’ve become quite liked by my friends and customers.  (I work for myself.  Go figure…)

Are you a good listener too?

I thought so.  I think it comes with the territory.

All you know is useless stuff…

Call it “useless trivia”.  ”Stuff other people aren’t interested in.”    ’Things nobody is likes to talk about.”  The fact of the matter is, you can retain all this “useless information and make sense of it”.  Never mind if “nobody wants to hear it”.  There are some nice talents packed in this!  Hidden treasures!  Silver Linings!

As long as you tell yourself that all this is useless information, it will be just that.  But take another look and notice there are two silver linings around this cloud of yours: your ability to retain trivial information and your off-the-wall interests, which goes hand in hand with your out-of-the-box thinking.  What you’re showing here is that you’re actually pretty damn smart and can be very creative.

Okay, you may not be the Einstein of your neigbourhood.  However, deep inside you’re one smart cookie.

Many shy people are very intelligent and have some deep and profound insights.  Also, when it comes to understanding Human Nature, you easily tip the wisdom scale.  I bet those who thought they knew you, were often blown away to learn of your opinions and observations about people, life in general and relationship issues.

Are you beginning to see how your ‘weaknesses’ are really your misinterpreted STRENGTHS?

Generally speaking, shyness is no real hindrance to live a full satisfying life.

But there are times when it can be quite awkward.

For example:

Picture for a moment, you’re invited to a party.  It’s one of those invites you can’t say ‘no’ to, so you just go.  As you get there you find there is already a crowd of people there, playing games and engaging in a lot of activities, enjoying themselves.

Are you the person to try to participate or are you the one to sit away from the group, feeling alienated and miserable?

Or, are you’re looking for a familiar face to latch on to and be with for the rest of the party?

What’s painful about the whole party thing is when you want to participate, but don’t know how to merge with the group. Then it gets even worse when they try to force you to join them:  “Common, don’t be shy…”

Yeah, right.  If only you could take our shyness off like a piece of clothing!

This same part of your shyness is also one of the reasons why the old method of MLM Marketing is turning you off:  Those hyped-up meetings just about kill you. You were  quick to figure out that most of those attendees are “playing the game”, i.e.: you saw right through them and knew they were faking it.

(And, again you were correct, because 97% of them will never become successful Network Marketers!  Most of them never make a dime, while others get deeper in the hole from buying products just to keep their distributor-status.)

7 Reasons Why YOU are Perfectly Chiseled for the Network Marketing Industry!

Let’s now look at your characteristics and see how they compare to the seven of a perfect entrepreneur:

1. You are a good listener;
2. You have a deeper understanding of Human Nature;
3. You are intuitive;
4. You have the discipline to work by yourself (and you enjoy it!);
5. You’re smart (very smart);
6. You can be very generous

Hmmm….  Six out of seven is not bad.  The only characteristic missing is:  #7, and that one would be: “You are outgoing and quite sociable.”

Wait.  Slow down for a second.

You have all the characteristics of an independent Network Marketing entrepreneur and have all you need to be a successful MLM Recruiter!

Now, I can already hear you think: “If only…”

You think that’s really necessary… huh???

I’d say:

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

You have other options!

You know first hand that MLM recruiting is not for shy people; at least the old school way isn’t.

How could it be? Shy people shy away from approaching strangers.  How could they be expected to be prospecting for leads?

Well,

Let’s take a quick look at some possibilities.  What options do you have if you want to make in the world of Network Marketing?

Here is your first option:

Option #1:  Get with the program and ”tough it out” !!!

Although you are a born Network Marketer  this option is totally unfair and not an option to you. .. Knowing that the hardest part of this industry is prospecting, which, by the way, is something even sales people have an issue with, where does this leave YOU…?

The dilemma is: you’re shy and still want to build an MLM business.  The old method will definitely not get  you anywhere:  “Cold canvassing” or and “cold calling” is definitely not for the shy.  But…

To become successful in the MLM business, you’ve got to generate leads!!

To generate those leads you’ll need to connect with your prospects.  Or get them from someone else.

This leads to…

Option #2:   Buy a Lead List

You can buy a lead list, but, let’s face it: what true MLM business person is going to sell you a bona fide lead list of strong leads, when he or she can personally build a solid downline with?  They’ll sell you the scrap - the rejects -  and keep the good ones.

I had purchased one such list.  It came with one of those ‘scripts’ that was stiff, cold and calculated.  Totally not me.

But I gave it a shot.  Here’s what happened:

Most of the leads were getting very angry with me, because they were already called by four other people; I was the fifth to whom the same list was sold!  I’ll never make that mistake again and I will not lead you that way either.

This means you’re right back to Option #1, which – as we already said -  is a non-option for you.

How can we fix this challenge?  Why can’t YOU “have your cake and eat it too”?

Because, my friend, YOU CAN!  Read on to Option #3 to find out how.

Before getting to Option #3, consider these questions:

• What if there was a way to operate your business so that you could have your prospects contact you to ask about your Network Marketing business opportunity and by doing so, generate hundreds of leads each month?

• What if you could find a way to generate these leads without ever having to leave your home?    (By the way: unlike those leads our upline offers or those you can purchase on the net, yours will be bona fide, strong leads, because these are people that are already interested in your business!)

Although this may sound a little complicated I guarantee it isn’t.

As a matter of fact, it’s not any more complicated than setting up your computer when you first got it out of the box.

Remember how you needed to input your personal information, like your username and password, address, etc.?  You also downloaded some programs (software) like Adobe Reader or any other software you needed as you got more familiar with your first PC or Mac.
